Work
Empower Project
Senior Full-stack Software Engineer
At Empower, I’m a Senior Software Engineer working across the full tech stack. My role involves everything from shipping front-end code and light design work to developing backend features, architecting databases, and deploying mobile apps with React Native.
I also manage AWS infrastructure and collaborate closely with product teams and clients to design and launch new features. I've led projects that improved system scalability, integrated third-party APIs, and revamped complex user interfaces to enhance accessibility and user experience.
Amazon
Full-stack Software Engineer
At Amazon Go, I worked as a full-stack engineer creating services for internal products using a JavaScript-based tech stack. I built scalable web and mobile apps powered by AWS and serverless technologies. At Amazon Robotics, I focused on backend Java development, enhancing the scale and reliability of core services for our global operations.
Software Engineering Intern
During my time at Twitter, I was part of the Video Data Infrastructure team, where I built real-time data pipelines which processed billions of events each day. My work helped transform raw data into valuable insights for internal teams, powering dashboards and visualizations for use by various engineering orgs—all within a scalable cloud environment.
FM Global
Software Engineering Co-op
During my co-op at FM Global, I worked on a variety of impactful projects. I revamped an error reporting system, built tools to streamline deployment processes, and designed a testing suite for a new application. My contributions helped improve efficiency and make life easier for the engineering team.
Education
University of Rhode Island
M.S. Computer Science
Coursework focused on algorithms, computer systems, and human interaction design. I built an experimental mobile app for adults with developmental disabilities and contributed to a publication regarding experimental treatment using mobile applications.
Dev Accelerator
Programming Bootcamp
A 9 month programming bootcamp focused on shipping code and learning full-stack development. I shipped various applications and became a mentor for other students while in the program.
University of Rhode Island
B.S. Mechanical Engineering
I studied mechanical engineering and design. Coursework included advanced mathematics, fluid mechanics, and mechatronics. Final capstone project included creating a $30K robot for automated metal processing.
